We visited the Okavango Delta area of Botswana on a tented safari in August. I can’t say sufficient concerning the capabilities of the native guides—they had been completely nice—and the lodging had been wonderful.
Our travels took us from Maun to Xakanaxa, Xugana, Khwai, Savuti, and Chobe (in that order). We noticed 35 mammals and over 160 chicken species in the middle of 2 weeks, lots of them up shut and private.
