Image of the Week: My Favourite Spot in Hong Kong (once more)

by admin

My favourite spot in all of Hong Kong is Lugard Highway, just a little path that winds its manner round Victoria Peak.  It’s the place I’ve taken a few of my favourite photos of all time and was featured in my second-most in style YouTube video:

Anyway, on my manner again from a sudden work journey to Singapore final week I had an extended layover in Hong Kong.  I’ll inform the remainder of the story quickly however I ended up assembly up with an outdated faculty buddy and his girlfriend and had the enjoyment of displaying them round Hong Kong for a bit.  In fact the primary place we went was Lugard Highway.  I went again to my favourite spot and was rewarded with my favourite view, solely this time in the course of the day!  I really like how the clouds supplied some texture within the sky so as to add much more drama to the scene.  This one was a no brainer, I couldn’t take an image from Lugard Highway and never make it Image of the Week!

For the photographers: This can be a 5-shot panorama utilizing my Sony a7rII and the 24-70 G Grasp lens.  A shot like this was robust, even for the unimaginable dynamic vary of the a7rII, as a result of large distinction between the daylight and the cruel shadows, however the Sony held its personal fairly nicely.  The explanation I selected to do a panorama was to seize some extra decision (it’s best to see this factor, unimaginable element) but additionally as a result of I didn’t have a wider focal size than 24mm with me on the time (I normally like taking pictures this scene at round 19mm).  The pano labored nice and I didn’t actually do an excessive amount of with this in Lightroom and Photoshop.

As all the time, let me know you probably have any questions!
